Rise of flexible and home workspaces
Structurally saying goodbye to a fixed office, sometimes referred to as The New Working, has been a reality for years. Laptops and smartphones, as well as video calling and data storage in the 'cloud', make remote collaboration possible. The opportunities for mobile and flexible working are increasing. The change in mentality regarding traditional office work has only increased during the pandemic.
What the jury member will pay attention to
Anke Horstman (TechGirl) will test the home workspaces on factors such as a good desk for a healthy working posture, WiFi signal strength, quietness and privacy for video calls, and of course, the coffee. Creativity and inspiration regarding the workspace's decor will also be considered. Of course, the guidelines of the RIVM will be observed during the testing of the home workspaces.
Those curious about the creative and innovative decorating abilities of working Netherlands can be inspired by the award ceremony of the National Flex Workspace Test 2020.
