VR as a tool for team building

VR experience contributes to improving social interaction, different types of communication, problem-solving, and collaboration - collectively referred to as team building. In many organizations, you notice that work is done from isolated groups. But when the team has to solve a difficult puzzle together, it becomes clear that the work structure might need an update. Whether it's defusing a virtual bomb, escaping from a dire situation, or unmasking a colleague as a 'mole'; these are all examples of exciting VR games that companies are increasingly utilizing.

Talent surfaces

During such a VR experience, talents emerge from individuals you might not have suspected. One is skilled in the digital world, another has a surprisingly good spatial awareness, and a third is excellent at rapid mental calculations. Together, they form more of a collective, where everyone showcases their unexpected skills. You naturally want to apply that mechanism to your business operations, where you want to have the right person in the right place to achieve results. By regularly organizing a VR company outing, with a different game format each time, you get to know your staff better, which is invaluable. Additionally, more interaction develops among them. These are positive stimuli, creating new conversation topics, and of course, you offer a unique experience. A good employer provides this for their people, also because you gain a lot in return.

Perfect company renovation: VR in architecture and interior design

But even without a game format, VR does a lot for companies. Complete buildings are designed and then almost immediately cast in VR form so that as an owner or tenant, you can already walk around in it (virtually). This allows you to physically experience what the ideal flow lines are and where potential junctions are located. This is often a study in itself because a floor plan or model does not offer that option. Just look at an old episode of the TV show The Perfect Renovation, where two architects compete against each other, and the most practical design wins. In this, the residents have the final say, which is determined by a walk through the new interior when it is essentially not yet realized. Thanks to VR, they can take that preview.

VR as a modern and useful tool

There are countless possibilities for you as an entrepreneur to be inspired by VR. It is not a completely unknown and new method, but primarily serves as a tool. Just as entrepreneurs keep up with innovation, sustainability, and social media, they also do so by applying technology to their organization. It can certainly help them move forward. And of course, there's nothing wrong with a VR experience as a company outing in any case.
