Fingerprint Scanner

It is not yet entirely clear how the technology from Tesla and Apple will work, reports the website 9to5mac. However, it is speculated that the app works with Apple's fingerprint scanner. This technology was initially only available for Apple software, but recently it has also become possible for other developers to integrate it into their own apps. The app could be launched next month, simultaneously with iOS 8. According to 9to5mac, the app is still in beta, but in a late stage. The app is now being finalized so that it can hit the market. For now, the technology is only coming to the Model S. Whether the update will later come to other Tesla models is not known.

Apple Employees

Over the past year, several Apple employees have started working at Tesla. The car manufacturer is known for its luxury and fully electric cars. The user interface of the Model S was largely designed by former Apple developers. There are already other systems to start and use a car, such as Viper. Viper is also available for Android, but the app from Apple and Tesla is not.
