Custom comfort for every type of home
With this new feature, tado° users can manage multiple locations more easily. For example, on a cold evening, you can preheat the vacation home to a pleasant temperature before you arrive. At the same time, tado° automatically lowers the heating in your main home as soon as you leave.
Additionally, users can install the tado° system at their parents' home and remotely manage climate control with this new feature, allowing them to experience modern comfort without having to deal with it themselves.
Main features:
Role management: With the multi-home functionality, residents can view, control, and install their tado° smart thermostats, while one administrator (Admin) has full rights and is responsible for the account.
Compatibility across generations: For the first time, users can manage different tado° product ranges within one account. For example, a tado° X installation in one home and a V3+ setup in another home can be controlled simultaneously from one mobile device.
Integrated air conditioning control: Manage cooling through the smart air conditioning control of tado° in one home while regulating heating with tado° X in another home – all from the same account.
AI Assist & Auto Assist: one subscription for all homes
Alongside the launch of the new feature, tado° expands the benefits of its premium services. One AI Assist subscription (for tado° X) or Auto Assist subscription (for V3+ and older generations) now covers all homes within the administrator account.
For €3.99 per month (or €29.99 per year), subscribers gain access to features such as automatic geofencing, open window detection, and adaptive heating for all their homes. Geofencing provides extra convenience when traveling between homes: the system automatically lowers the temperature in one home upon departure and ensures the other home is comfortable upon arrival.
While the multi-home functionality is available to all tado° users, subscribers of AI Assist and/or Auto Assist benefit from extra convenience. They can be logged in simultaneously across all their homes and switch between locations with one click. Users without a subscription must log out and log back in to switch homes.
