By issuing Dutch IBAN accounts with its own QNTO bank code, Qonto strengthens trust in its services, framed within its payment license (Payment Institution License) and the autonomously managed IT systems (Core Banking System).
This is also an important next step in Qonto's local strategy and underscores the company's dedicated focus on the Netherlands as one of its key markets. Qonto officially launched in the Netherlands last year, and the company has since opened a new office in Amsterdam, appointed a local team, and significantly invested in its local product offering, aligning with the needs of entrepreneurs, including integrations with Dutch accounting software and customer service.
"We are excited to now offer our own Dutch IBAN. It is a direct response to what our customers in the Netherlands want and expect," says Georg Nüchtern, Managing Director Netherlands. "Qonto aims to remove barriers so that they can fully focus on growing their business – that’s why we also strive to continuously improve and adapt our offering to the Dutch market."
As part of its local strategy, Qonto is building a strong position in the Netherlands, supported by its local team and strategic partnerships. This focus aligns with Qonto's ambition to become a European leader in business financial management and to transform the way European companies manage their finances. The company distinguishes itself with a fully integrated, in-house platform that prioritizes ease of use and security.
