The coronavirus is spreading rapidly and healthcare workers are doing everything they can to treat COVID-19 patients. Healthcare staff are working long hours and the pressure is increasing – especially now that the British variant of the virus is on the rise. To support healthcare workers and give an extra fruit boost, the Fruitboost Challenge has been created. It is an initiative by FRUIT OP JE WERK, creative & digital agency iBiZZ, and NINE CREATIVE AGENCY. Together, they have set up the Fruitboost Challenge and developed the action website www.fruitvoordezorg.nl

This is how the idea originated

FRUIT OP JE WERK supplies fruit boxes to B2B organizations in the Netherlands. They purchase fruit boxes to encourage employees in the office to eat fruit and live healthily. Many clients of FRUIT OP JE WERK have temporarily closed their offices, as employees are working from home. They are therefore donating their fruit boxes to healthcare institutions in the region. Casper van der Put, director of FRUIT OP JE WERK, thought this was a nice gesture. He wanted to extend this initiative and encourage entrepreneurs across the Netherlands to donate fruit boxes to healthcare workers. Thus, the Fruitboost Challenge was born.

This is how the Fruitboost Challenge works

All organizations and companies in the Netherlands can participate in the Fruitboost Challenge. The website www.fruitvoordezorg.nl describes the exact procedure. Entrepreneurs can order one or more fruit boxes and donate them to a healthcare institution of their choice. The boxes can be customized with a logo and personal message, so that healthcare workers are encouraged and supported. Entrepreneurs who have donated a fruit box can also challenge other businesses to participate in the Fruitboost Challenge. In this way, FRUIT OP JE WERK hopes to create a special chain reaction. So far, 6,000 fruit boxes have already been donated.
