Explosive growth since introduction

Omoda Jaecoo is the fastest growing car brand in the Netherlands, according to figures from the RDW. The brand, which was only launched at the end of September 2025, sold 1,302 cars in the first quarter of 2026. This amounts to an average of more than 400 vehicles per month, with a record of 490 registrations in March. This places it directly among the best-selling Chinese car brands in the Netherlands.

Dealer network as a growth accelerator

According to sales director Joost Dekkers, the foundation of this success lies in the dealer network. Dealers act as ambassadors and are able to convince consumers with models that excel in quality, design, and sustainability, combined with competitive prices. This approach translates not only into strong sales figures but also into rapidly growing brand awareness.

Rapid expansion and national coverage

Within the organization and among dealers, there is a clear growth dynamic. Significant investments are being made in personnel, service, and new locations. The number of showrooms is growing from 25 to 30 this year, creating national coverage. For a new car brand, this distribution is essential to build trust and serve customers nearby.

Models align with Dutch demand

The hybrid and electric models of Omoda Jaecoo align well with market demand. The offering consists of technologically advanced, comfortable, and practical cars with a strong price-quality ratio. Whether it’s a plug-in hybrid family car or a fully electric version, the brand offers a broad and competitive portfolio.

Jaecoo 7 SHS-P leads the way
The Jaecoo 7 SHS-P is the most popular model with 836 registrations in the first quarter. This plug-in hybrid offers up to 90 kilometers of electric driving range and a total range of 1,200 kilometers. Following are the Omoda 9 with 204 sold units and the Omoda 5 with 194 units. The Jaecoo 5 rounds out the list with 68 sold models.

New growth phase with Jaecoo 8

The strong first quarter instills confidence for further expansion. In the second quarter of 2026, the brand will introduce the Jaecoo 8 SHS-P, a four-wheel-drive seven-seater SUV. This new flagship aims to appeal to a broader audience and position the brand in a higher segment.

Warranty and reliability as a spearhead
All models come with seven years of warranty or 150,000 kilometers. For the high-voltage battery, there is even an eight-year warranty or 160,000 kilometers. This emphasizes Omoda Jaecoo's commitment to certainty, an important factor for consumers transitioning to new forms of mobility.

Strong international foundation

Behind Omoda Jaecoo is the Chery Group, a globally operating car manufacturer with more than 17 million vehicles sold in 120 countries. With over 14,000 engineers and several R&D centers, including in Frankfurt, the company continues to invest in technology and design. In the Netherlands, this translates into a rapidly growing offering and an increasingly strong dealer network.
