The new Nissan Juke is agile, compact, and unmistakably Nissan. It brings character and emotion to the EV era and redefines one of Europe's most distinctive compact SUVs. The model is part of the brand's broader strategy to offer a suitable electrified powertrain for every customer.
Since its introduction in 2010, the Nissan JUKE has convinced no less than 1.5 million customers in Europe and has redefined the compact SUV segment with its bold and unconventional design. The new JUKE retains that character, but now in combination with a fully electric powertrain.
A flexible route to full electrification
The new Nissan JUKE is part of a growing EV offering in Europe, consisting of the new generation MICRA and LEAF, the ARIYA, the TOWNSTAR, and a future EV for the A-segment. The new Nissan JUKE is – just like the new Nissan LEAF – equipped with Vehicle-to-Grid technology that allows electric vehicles to be integrated into the broader energy system.
In addition to expanding the EV offering, Nissan is also focusing on hybrid technology with the Nissan QASHQAI e‑POWER, which provides the same driving experience as an EV without the need for charging, and the JUKE HEV, which will remain available alongside the 100% electric JUKE. This allows customers to choose the technology that fits their wishes and needs.
"Europe plays a central role in our electrification strategy, and we remain committed to a fully electric future," says Massimiliano Messina, Chairman of Nissan AMIEO. "With a growing EV offering, we bring more choice and innovation to every segment, supported by our strong capabilities in the region in design, engineering, and production. Together, this new generation of models will accelerate our transition to emission-free mobility."
Electrification driven from Europe
The new Nissan JUKE is produced at the factory in Sunderland, UK, underscoring the central role of this location within the brand's global EV strategy. This production site, where the new generation Nissan LEAF is built and where the first test phase of JUKE production will soon begin, forms the foundation of Nissan's electrified production network in Europe.
This commitment is supported by Nissan's broader regional capabilities, including a network for design, engineering, and development in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany. Together, these activities underscore Nissan's long-term investment in Europe as a production and innovation hub, with cars designed, developed, and built in Europe for European customers.
"The Nissan JUKE has always stood for bold design and the courage to challenge conventions. With this third generation, we bring that spirit into the electric age," says Clíodhna Lyons, Region Vice President Product, Brand & Marketing Strategy of Nissan AMIEO. "The first fully electric JUKE helps us reach new customers while further expanding the choices within our electrified offering."
Unveiling during Vision Event
The completely new, third generation of the Nissan JUKE was unveiled during the Nissan Vision Event in Japan, where the brand presented its long-term vision, product strategy, and technological innovations to international media, stakeholders, and employees. The new Nissan JUKE will be introduced in spring 2027.
