The young entrepreneurs are set up in a shopping center, where they must arrange their own stand and attract customers. Persuasiveness and sales skills are, according to the foundation, abilities that a good entrepreneur must possess. A professional jury will select a final winner for each level of education. The winner of the first prize receives three hundred euros, while the student entrepreneurs who finish second and third receive a trophy and certificate.

The young entrepreneurs have been running their own business for a year, which allows them to see what having a business entails. You only learn to be an entrepreneur by actually doing it. They create a business plan, think about finances, and develop an innovative product. This year, products such as navigation cases, foldable water bottles, or a valve lock have been designed.

The kick-off of the market days takes place on March 16 in Utrecht and Leidschendam. For exact locations and other market days, check the website of Jong Ondernemen.
