The wonderful world of Galaxy AI
Galaxy AI is the umbrella term for Samsung's extensive suite of artificial intelligence features that are increasingly integrated into Galaxy devices. The platform is designed to make your interaction with your device more efficient, intuitive, and personal, helping with tasks ranging from language and productivity to content creation and translation.
In practice, this means that on your smartphone, foldable, or tablet, you get AI support that goes beyond just voice control or a simple text assistant. Galaxy AI combines multimodal AI technology, meaning it can interpret speech, text, and images simultaneously, forming context based on what is on your screen and what you are trying to do.
Galaxy AI as a working layer
One of the core features of Galaxy AI is Now Brief, an intelligent 'summary' interface that provides you with highlighted information before you open an app. Quickly browse through your calendar, check the weather or news, or look and listen to a recommendation. And oh yes, don’t forget that one phone call, right?
Additionally, Galaxy AI works closely with powerful language models like Google Gemini, making the understanding of natural language and context increasingly seamless; for example, you can ask your device to summarize a long document or automatically structure actions from a conversation without having to switch apps.
Furthermore, Galaxy AI includes tools such as real-time Live Translate (for spoken and written translation), automatic summarization of long texts, AI-driven image and photo editing, and context-sensitive suggestions that align with your daily workflows.
Security and privacy
For business applications, it is important that AI functionality does not come at the expense of privacy. Samsung emphasizes that Galaxy AI uses a combination of on-device AI processing and cloud-based models, allowing sensitive data to be processed locally to avoid external transport. Additionally, the security platform Knox Vault can be set up to store personal and business data separately and securely.
Most Galaxy AI features will remain free by default, even on the latest Fold7 and Flip7 models, meaning organizations do not have to charge extra subscription costs for the basic AI layer. That subscription was once mentioned, but there is still little power behind it - Samsung itself has not provided much further information on it.
Galaxy AI in practice
In short, Galaxy AI is a fundamental layer in the user experience that helps you work faster and smarter and switch between meetings, processing documents, or bringing together information from multiple sources.
Which device fits which workday?
But how does that work in practice? What does this feature add to your workday? We investigated this based on three flagships: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5G.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: the mobile nerve center of the workday
The Galaxy S series has long been Samsung's main line, and the Galaxy S25 is again a valuable addition, especially with Galaxy AI.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra positions itself as a mobile work tool for entrepreneurs who multitask a lot, take notes, and want to remain productive on the go.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is designed as a smartphone that can effortlessly fulfill the role of your mobile workplace. Its large, bright display and powerful hardware allow you to perform intensive tasks, from long video calls to analyzing reports on the go. The device is ideally suited for professionals who multitask a lot and want to remain productive on the go.
The added value of Galaxy AI on the S25 Ultra lies, in our opinion, primarily in contextual support. The AI helps with standard tasks like rewriting emails or translating texts, but also supports more complex workflows. Meetings are summarized, voice memos and other spoken text are converted into structured action points, and the device analyzes your screen content in no time to bring relevant information to the forefront. And all of that is stored securely and in the right places.
Specifications at a glance of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
- 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120 Hz refresh rate
- 5,000 mAh battery
- Configurations up to 12 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.
- Equipped with 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Samsung Knox Vault for security
A frequently mentioned advantage is that Galaxy AI can anticipate your needs by learning your usage patterns. This means, for example, that the device can make suggestions for relevant information from emails, documents, or conversations, even before you search for it yourself. This results in subtle but measurable time savings in daily routines.
The large screen and powerful battery make the S25 Ultra ideal for users who are often on the go and do not want to take a laptop with them. The smartphone can thus be used as a primary work tool; fast, powerful, and with an incredible amount of style. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has certainly earned the MKB Best Choice Award 2026.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7: multitasking without switching back
Speaking of large screens… from a distance, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 looks like a 'normal' phone, but the word Fold is not in the name for nothing. When there is a need for screen, you can open this device in a flash - literally - and nearly double your screen size.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 combines a foldable large screen with Galaxy AI, making multitasking and working with multiple sources more manageable.
While the S25 Ultra focuses on accessibility and versatility, the Z Fold7 makes a difference in working with multiple sources simultaneously. Once you unfold the device, it transforms into a mini workstation. This means you can have a video call on the left side while displaying your notes or CRM neatly side by side, which is more challenging on traditional smartphones without constant app-switching or a laptop beside you.
Galaxy Z Fold7 - Specifications at a glance
- 6.5-inch cover screen and a foldable 8.0-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen, both with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
- Only 4.2 mm thick when opened
- Weight of approximately 215 grams
- Runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy
- Battery capacity of 4,400 mAh
- Standard integration of Knox Vault
Galaxy AI enhances this multitask workflow. It can understand the information on both screen halves and contextually summarize or even suggest actions without you having to shift your focus. It can also watch in real-time and provide suggestions. Think of a project overview that is automatically cleaned up while you participate in a meeting, or a contract that is analyzed while you write reflections. This combination of overview and AI support reduces mental overhead and makes the Fold7 a true productivity machine.
In terms of drawbacks, the Fold7 requires a bit more attention to battery management than the Ultra smartphone, as the foldable screen consumes relatively more energy. Additionally, it remains a premium device that requires a conscious investment. Not only in purchase but also in protection and management; perhaps logically, but the fold system is somewhat less robust than a 'normal' phone. For organizations, this may mean that the device is particularly attractive for hybrid employees with intensive work needs, such as project leaders, consultants, or creatives who combine a lot of content.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5G: AI-supported work on a large scale
But we can go even bigger: towering above the phones is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5G. On a gigantic screen, you can easily take notes during any meeting, online or in person.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5G is aimed at deep work, note-taking, and document analysis on a large scale, with Galaxy AI as an additional productivity layer.
The Tab S11 Ultra is a tablet that focuses on large-scale productivity. It is ideal for deep work - analyzing and comparing documents can be done quickly and in detail with the screen. With the S Pen, you can also easily take notes your way.
The contribution of Galaxy AI to this workflow is especially evident in features like Samsung Notes Assist, which automatically converts handwritten notes into structured text, supplemented with summaries and suggestions. Long pieces of text can be shortened to key points, and AI-driven image analysis helps you identify or highlight relevant content faster.
In DeX mode, the Tab S11 Ultra even becomes a full-fledged replacement for laptops in contexts where full desktops are not needed. You can drag windows, use mouse and keyboard support, and function as a central hub for email, project software, and communication apps.
Compared to the other two, the Tab is indeed a lot less mobile: you don’t just pull it out of your bag on the go; it is better suited for sessions at the table or in meetings. NFC is also missing, which can be a limitation for some business workflows. But for those who want a flexible, powerful work environment without a laptop, this is a convincing alternative.
Specifications at a glance of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra 5G
- 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2960 × 1848 pixels
- 12 GB RAM, up to 512 GB storage (expandable via microSD)
- 11,600 mAh battery
- Promise of long-term software and security updates well into the next decade
AI as a productivity engine in the Galaxy work workflow
Every entrepreneur seeks something different. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, Z Fold7, and Tab S11 Ultra 5G together form a versatile ecosystem for business users, but are also valuable additions on their own during work. What they all have in common: the integration of Galaxy AI as a silent productivity engine.
