The radiator was developed by founder Hasan Yilmaz and distinguishes itself from existing hybrid radiators by not only combining radiant heat and active air distribution but also being able to heat fully electrically. The Duo Hybrid works within a traditional central heating system and is suitable for low temperature heating such as a heat pump, but can also function independently in electric mode. This means the system is not tied to one heat source or one type of installation. A patent application for the technology was filed in 2025, with approval expected in November of this year.
Can be used centrally and independently
The basis of the system is a steel panel radiator with radiant heat, supplemented by integrated heat boosters that actively distribute warm air throughout the room. According to Radiator-Outlet, this leads to faster warming of spaces, a more even temperature distribution, and more efficient use of heat. Especially in a time of high and fluctuating energy prices, this can help to use energy more consciously and reduce unnecessary costs.
"Many consumers want to be less dependent on one way of heating," says Hasan Yilmaz, founder of Radiator-Outlet. "With the Duo Hybrid radiator, we have developed a system that offers that freedom. You can heat via the central heating, with low temperature, and fully electric."
Electric heating during surplus power
The latter is particularly interesting if you want to heat one room separately and on cold days in the spring and autumn, as Yilmaz explains. "On such days, your solar panels often generate a lot of power, for which you will get almost nothing when you feed it back to the grid after the netting scheme ends in 2027. You then use that power to heat electrically for free. You can choose which heat source best fits your home, your consumption, and the energy prices at that moment."
Radiator-Outlet is also working on a software update that will allow the radiator to communicate with solar panels, heat pumps, and current energy prices in the future. This way, the system should ultimately be able to actively assist in choosing the most efficient heating source. The Duo Hybrid radiator has been on the market since January 2026 and is available for immediate delivery.
